Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities and Duties

• Unloading inbound freight from trucks using dolly, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Using computer to print stock pulling reports.
• Pulling merchandise for store stock, customer pick ups, and home delivery.
• Using wireless PDA scanner to receive, transfer, assign stock to bin location and invoices.
• Unpacking, assembling, and staging merchandise for home delivery.
• Inspecting merchandise to insure customer satisfaction before the loading process begins.
• Making warehouse manager aware of any damage or defects to stock immediately.
• Assisting drivers with loading and safely securing items in truck.
• Occasional riding along with drivers to assist in deliveries.
• Assisting Visual Merchandiser with Floor moves and resets.
• Driving stock transfers to the store.
• Removing trash and cardboard from the warehouse to proper disposal unit.
• Performing routine or simple maintenance on the vehicles and equipment.
• Following safety guidelines and reports any unsafe happening or concern to warehouse manager immediately.
• Grounds upkeep (changing light bulbs, cutting grass, etc).
• Performing other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Abilities/Skills

• High School diploma or GED equivalency certificate;
• Valid Driver’s License and a maintained clear and safe driving record.
• Navigate through the delivery area; Work in an organized and safety conscious manner;
• Work as a team with an enthusiastic attitude;
• Use a wireless tablet, or other system driven device;
• Effectively communicate with co-workers, management and customers;
• Read, understand and write the English language;
• Lift and move products weighing up to 70 pounds without a lifting device;
• Lift and move products in excess of 70 pounds with an approved lifting device;
• Walk, stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use and/or control tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and see up close, in color, depth and distance vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Salary : $26,800 - $34,000
