Attention Traffic Control Attendants! Join Us at UNCC for a Temporary Part-Time Opportunity!

Park Inc is currently seeking Traffic Control Attendants to assist with traffic management during special events at UNCC. This temporary position offers flexible hours between May 6th and May 11th, with a competitive rate of $17 per hour.

Essential Functions:

- Assess and Maintain Traffic Patterns:** Monitor and regulate traffic flow in designated areas to ensure efficiency and safety.

- Direct Traffic: Guide vehicles through entrances and exits using a combination of signage and hand signals.

- Manage Traffic Control Devices:** Set up, relocate, and dismantle signs, barricades, cones, and other equipment as necessary to maintain traffic control.

- Provide Excellent Customer Service:** Interact courteously with the public and pedestrians, ensuring a positive experience for all.

- Maintain Punctuality and Attendance:** Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance throughout the assigned period.

- Demonstrate Flexibility:** Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Possess a willingness to stand in assigned location and direct traffic.

• Possess a commitment to attendance and punctuality.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, repetitively hold signs and/or flags, have the ability to use and raise arms to chest height in order to direct traffic.

• Must be physically able to move and place any signage in appropriate location.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Adhere to all regulatory, company and departmental policies and procedures.

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, etc
