What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/MA/EMT position at Park Nicollet Clinic?
Position Summary:
Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy.
Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Education/Experience:
Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS.
Basic computer/keyboarding skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing and skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

With a team of 9 clinicians, we see approximately 80-120 patients each day.
