Park Place is the first retirement community in Elmhurst. This elegant five-star community is conveniently located across the street from Edward Elmhurst hospital. Here at Park Place of Elmhurst, we offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare. Our residents also have access to assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support right on campus. We are seeking a hardworking Part-time Diet Technician to support carrying out our mission to deliver quality care to our residents!
The primary purpose of the Diet Technician is to provide comprehensive, geriatric-specific nutritional care, including resident interviews, nutrition alert program, significant weight change documentation, MDS care plans, assessments, and detailed documentation; with special attention to nutritionally-at-risk residents, residents with dementia, and residents on assigned nursing units. They will work closely with the corporate dietitian in assuring the residents receive proper nutritional care. This candidate will act as a nutrition resource person for facility staff, residents, and family members.
Position available: Preferably- Mondays and Thursdays, 8am-4:30pm
Requirements
Candidates, at a minimum, must have completed a Diet Tech associate’s degree from a school that has an accredited Diet Technician program. Have previous experience in a healthcare setting. Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience is a plus. They will communicate with patients, patients' families and guests, nurses, environmental service, food service/clinical staff and food service leadership.
