Description


Our Aquatic Team consists of Lifeguards, Water Safety Instructors & Aquatic Directors who coordinate and supervise all water activities in camp. If your idea of a great summer is having fun at beaches, pools and water parks, this might be the job for you. Requirements


Lifeguards & WSI


Lifeguards are wanted to supervise all water activities. Full time & Part time positions available (9:30 AM - 2:30 PM). Must be 17 years or older with some experience. Lifeguard and/or WSI certified. Certification must be current throughout the summer!


Aquatic Director


The ideal candidate will provide direction and supervision to the camp’s aquatics team, as well as provide the water safety program and protocol and culture throughout the entirety of camp.


Experience, Qualifications And Certifications


  • Qualified Aquatic Director according to DOH, NY State and City Codes
  • At least one season of previous experience as a Camp Aquatics Director
  • Current Lifeguard Management Certification
  • Current and NY state accepted CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
  • Current WSI Certification (preferred)


Responsibilities


  • Understanding and implementing all PSDC, state and local health and safety requirements
  • Building and maintaining professional relationship with Camp Director(s), members of the camp’s leadership team as well as members and representatives of the public pools, beaches or any water facilities in which we partner.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing and supervision to deliver aquatic programs
  • Effectively supervise, evaluate and develop lifeguards, WSI’s and other members of aquatics team.
  • Assist and support leadership and support staff as requested or delegated to by Director(s) of camp
