Director of Construction

The highly qualified individual oversees the homebuilding construction operations of all communities built. Focus on quality, cost, starts, closings and cycle time while achieving all financial established metrics. Must be process and documentation driven philosophically with a strong bias towards results and accountability. Knowledge of even flow production necessary. Experience directing the construction of 500 homes is preferred. Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing leadership to a team of construction professionals and coordination of complete alignment of departments under his/her responsibility.
- Maintaining and improving upon on-time and quality production standards.
- Maintaining and improving even-flow production procedures and processes.
- Improving quality control standards and scheduling of work at the community level.
- Scheduling all production in all existing and future community operations.
- Implementing state-of-the art construction techniques with documentation.
- Exceeding and/or meeting cost estimates in the timely and quality production of all homes.
- Meeting regular daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial and operational reporting requirements.
- Providing superior customer service, before the customer close.
- Maintain clean jobsites.
- Oversee all EPA compliance. Provide training as needed to construction personnel for documentation and other EPA requirements.
- Maintain on time closing, Final Sign Off, and compliance metrics.
- Enforcement and continued development of Scopes of Work.
- Develop written process for tracking defects and using prevention based management to correct in future.
