Develops, implements and manages a wide variety of human resources programs for the entire site. Supports the facility in the attainment of its goals and objectives. Promotes enhanced organizational efficiency and communication. Reports to the FSC Division Human Resource Manager, while working collaboratively with the site Plant Manager.
Takes an active role on the site leadership team to address business issues and challenges. Works to understand all aspects of the business in order to contribute and advise effectively. Manages all staffing activities. Uses a full understanding of the S&OP process to help forecast hourly staffing needs and works to meet those needs as efficiently and effectively as possible. Works with site and division leaders to plan and fill salaried positions. Oversees performance management and career development activities for the site. Ensures all managers are fully trained and capable in the management and development of their teams. Coaches and advises managers regarding employee relations matters for optimal outcomes. Acts as a primary resource for employee concerns and questions. Stays readily available for employees and actively works to engage people and address their needs. Plans events and employee relations activities as needed. Investigates issues and recommends well thought out solutions. Helps to lead High Performance Team efforts at the site. Ensures teams are effectively solving problems and making improvements and participation rates remain high. Administers all relevant company policies, ensuring employees have a full understanding and receive training regularly. Works with FSC HR staff to update policies as needed. Maintains employee data and HR systems with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related discipline required. Minimum of five years HR experience in the functions described in the position responsibilities. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and structured problem-solving skills. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills.
