Job Designation
The Senior Engineering Technician supports the Engineering Function on a variety of technical tasks in order to meet departmental objectives. Acts as professional lead for variety of testing and troubleshooting tasks.
Job Core Responsibilities
* Interface with engineers for prototype parts/systems to support in-house R and D development and Qual programs.
* Provides data, information, and support to Engineering teams
* Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing of iterations of increasing complexity
* Leads troubleshooting of pneumatic, electronics or electro-mechanical systems
* Assists with lab testing at customer's site
* Participates in building prototypes per engineer's specifications to ensure feasibility
* Performs testing and qualifications in support of departmental objectives
* Knowledge of pneumatic, electronics or electro-mechanical systems to spec out test set-ups
* Helps accomplish engineering business improvement objectives
* Keeps current with state-of-the-art technologies for electronics design and processes
* Other responsibilities as assigned
* Ensures that all safety rules and regulations are adhered to and exercises good judgement concerning matters of safety
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications :
Years Experience : 5-10 years of relevant experience
Skills :
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of engineering processes
* Ability to write Labview code and VI's to support testing requirements
* Ability to effectively manage time around multiple projects
* Familiar with power conversion, analog and digital circuits
* Strong proficiency with MS Office applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, work ethics and ability to drive tasks to completion
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $30-40/hour
