Billing Specialist

Parker Interior Plantscape is family owned and operated with 75 years of experience. Parker consists of several divisions including Parker Plants, Parker Urban Greenscapes, and Parker Holiday, each offering unique services to our client base. Parker Plants designs, installs, and services interior and exterior live and artificial plantings. Parker Urban Greenscapes designs, installs, and cares for living walls and roofs. Parker Holiday designs and installs holiday décor and displays.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Billing Specialist in Plainfield, NJ. The Billing Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the accurate and efficient processing of billing clients and resolving any client issues regarding their invoices. They also support the accounting department in any manner necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Research and resolve billing concerns stemming from client audits or other internal departments to improve collaboration across teams and ensure accurate records and efficient problem resolution.
• Excellent customer service skills need to effectively respond to inquiries and question from internal and external customers.
• Daily analyzation of assigned portals to assure all invoices are uploaded and any issues are disputed and correct in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process billing adjustments into the invoice system.
• Interpret contract terms as they relate to billing exceptions to accurately document expected payments in alignment with client agreements.
• Ensure client satisfaction with every transaction.
• Complete daily invoice runs including the review and revision of invoice worksheets and approval of invoices.
• Sales Tax Report
• Processes account cancellations/reductions in billing system.
• Bank deposits
• Banking spreadsheet/reports
• General Ledger postings
• Month end procedures
• Additional duties within the accounting department

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in MS Office
• Attention to detail, accuracy, organization.
• Ability to meet deadlines/interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate with a team.
• Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and banking procedures

Education and Experience: 2 years experience in Billing

Physical/Environmental Requirements: The employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and stoop, crouch, reach, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. The employee will be subject to noise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
