Position Overview
The Western Slope Programs Coordinator is responsible for the creation and implementation of programs and services that connect and educate our constituents on the Western Slope. This entails collaborating with the PAR leadership team on planning, implementing, and overseeing the initiatives that promote the programs and services for the organization. This position is hands-on and includes management and oversight of all support groups, fundraising events, and educational events in the area.
This position will support the following areas (subject to change): Ouray, Montrose, Grand Junction, Roaring Fork Valley, Durango, Eagle, Edwards, Vail, Summit County.
Programs and Education
- Develop, produce, and manage educational programs in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Responsible for locating and maintaining guest speakers, locations, and topics relevant to the Parkinson’s community Responsible for all exhibitor/sponsor details related to education events
- Work with program coordinator as necessary to ensure all contracts are properly managed, and ensure events are as effective as possible for the constituents
- Evaluate feedback from all events, and adapt appropriately to event feedback
- Leveraging community connections to enhance PAR programming
Liaison to Support Groups
- Secure support group meeting locations and leadership as needed.
- Development of support group leaders
- Administrative support to assist support group leaders as needed
- Work with program coordinator to maintain website, Western Slope support group contact list, and Western Slope speakers list
- Implement and facilitate meetings between support group leadership to share local resources.
- Work with marketing to promote support groups as needed
Development of Partner and Community Relationships
- Work with Director of Development to identify and develop partnerships on the Western Slope
- Find sponsors for all events in the area – work with PAR development to develop relationships and provide sponsors with partnership opportunities
- Find grant opportunities in the area that can support programs and services
- Attend support groups, exercise classes and other events in the area to establish relationships within the Parkinson’s community.
- Work with community to determine new programs and services necessary
- Develop relationships to improve donations and support of PAR programs
- Develop plan to market PAR’s programs and services in the area
- Establish relationships with medical partners in the area (MDS, Neurologists, University, etc.)
Event Coordination
- Work with PAR event coordinator on all events held in the Western Slope area and establish events that are appropriate to each community
- Help with sponsors for annual Vitality 5k Walk and Run held in El Jebel
- Research and work with event coordinator on other fundraising events in the area
Analyzing & Adapting
- Develop and manage key performance indicators and analytics to track effectiveness of programs
- Measure and report impact of all program activities
- Direct and analyze audience engagement and use findings and insights to inform and strengthen our initiatives.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, manage the budget and financial reporting for all programs
Requirements and Qualifications

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
