Warehouse Supervisor - Lubes supervises the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. This position is responsible for providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Assists with all daily warehouse functions (shipping, receiving, pulling and consolidating orders, documentation of work). Oversee inventory processes, loading and unloading. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Assists all staff as necessary to provide an efficient operation.
- Ensures that the Distributor Product Integrity Manual (DPIM) standard operating procedures are followed and record keeping is maintained.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Initiates, coordinates, and enforces program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Works with Branch Manager to submit ad hoc capital expenditure requests for equipment with justification as needed or required.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair.
- Communication with the HSE Safety Manager to ensure safe handling and movement of materials and equipment.
- Oversee rail car processes, ensuring unloading and loading are performed safely and efficiently.
- Assists in record keeping for equipment and parts/products. Schedules preventative maintenance on equipment and coordinates repairs as needed.
- Adapts to schedule changes and is willing and able to cover for others in their absence.
- Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USA’s policy and procedure.
- Ensures that confidentiality of data collected and stored is maintained.
- Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for ensuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.
- Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 supervisory experience
- 3 years’ experience in the oil/lubricant field
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
