The Global Product Management (GPM) drives the development of strategic product and marketing priorities and, in partnership with P&L owners and Product Development, will bring these strategies to life through the creation of go-to-market business plans that disrupt existing Category and Retail channel models across Licensed, Theme Parks & Resorts, Disney store, shopDisney, Flexible Business Models (e.g. DTR, Wholesale), and 3rd party retail.
BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in relevant area –Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accounting.
Disney experience a plus
Being Comfortable with big data
2-3 years of experience in data analytics, forecasting and/or planning.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas.
Experience with data warehouse/visualization/BI tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau, and/or PowerBI, as well as experience with syndicated third party data such as IRI, Nielsen, NPD, and/or Numerator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to story-tell with data
Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
Self-motivated with ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, learn independently, and complete projects in a timely manner
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to manage many priorities at once.
Experience in a consumer products company or retail experience a plus.
Support the sales team with analytics to help run business at the account level. This would include weekly reporting, monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting, gaps and opportunities analysis, etc.
Support the sales team in preparing for milestone meetings for account executives. Analyze account share and opportunities to increase it at both the Franchise/Property and Category/Subcategory level.
Compare best practices within the analytics organization to optimize reporting across accounts.
Must be able to accommodate ad hoc requests for data, usually on a tight turn around. Ability to find efficiencies such as repurposing existing reports a plus.
Maintain or manage the maintenance of the integrity of the data, including mapping product hierarchies.
Required Education :
BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in relevant area –Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accounting.
