Veterinary Assistant

Parkway Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! We are a multi-doctor, mixed animal practice with over 30 years of AAHA accreditation based in Roseburg, Oregon.

This is a full-time position, scheduled for four 10-hour shifts weekly, Monday-Friday.

• Experience with Cornerstone is a plus!

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Gentle patient handling and restraint
• Administering medications and injections
• Venipuncture and placing IV catheters
• Laboratory and pharmacy duties
• Outpatient procedures
• Anesthetic monitoring and surgical assistance
• Hospital cleaning

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Compensation: $16 - $19/hour, based on experience and skillset
• Bonus Package: $500 for 3 years current veterinary experience

We are the only AAHA-accredited animal hospital in the county and have several members of our support staff who were previously Fear Free certified and continue to implement gentle patient handling techniques.
