Job Description:

Job Title:  PriceBook Technician

Location:  Austin TX

Reports to: PriceBook Analyst

Summary/objective: The Pricebook Technician is responsible for monitoring vendor performance through PriceBook (including invoice accuracy), monitoring appropriate key performance indicators (“KPIs”), data management and administering quarterly reviews of critical vendor alliances.

Essential functions:

• Develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Follow-up with operations on an as needed basis to review contractor performance and mitigate ongoing issues (“KPI” reviews).
• Responsible for business related statistics, analytics, and other ad-hoc report requests.
• Assist with vendor PriceBook onboarding process, create and maintain master PriceBook records, and resolve invoices in the OpenInvoice Queue with PriceBook alerts.
• Implementation of Purchase Category Coding
• Prepare weekly reports to review Pricebook alerts
• Make recommendations to the various business teams regarding trend analytics and market conditions.

Work Environment:

This job normally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers (including pdfs), filing systems and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also work in outside weather conditions, particularly when participating in plant/manufacturing facility visits and participating in field tours of various kinds.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role: However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The worker is also required to have close visual acuity for viewing a computer terminal, reading, transcribing, and preparing and analyzing data and figures.

Position type and expected hours of work:

This is a full-time professional position, and typical work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours.

Travel:

There is moderate travel associated with this position, most notably shuttle flights to PE’s Midland or Ft. Stockton field offices and/or producing locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline is considered a plus
• 3 - 5+ years of industry related exposure
