Supply Chain Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Director to oversee and optimize our company's end-to-end supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement. The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic plans for the end-to-end supply chain that align with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
• Procurement and Sourcing:
• Oversee procurement activities, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Inventory Management:
• Implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure product availability.
• Utilize forecasting tools to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Logistics and Distribution:
• Manage the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency and minimize lead times.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including disruptions in the supply network, regulatory compliance, and geopolitical factors.
• Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
• Performance Metrics and Analysis:
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor supply chain performance.
• Conduct regular analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Foster collaboration with other departments, such as finance, production, and sales, to ensure a seamless and integrated supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Strong background working with metal fabricator suppliers in Mexico and Asia.
• Strong procurement experience.
• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Director or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant software and technologies, such as ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
