Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a talented Acquisition Program Analyst to support multiple high visibility product acquisition and fielding activities in support of the US Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier.
The PEO Soldier headquarters is located at Fort Belvoir, VA and you will work with an established team of experienced acquisition and logistics analysts, trainers, and end-user Soldiers to turn concepts into reality in support of the Warfighter. Formulate innovative solutions to problems and work with a dedicated, world-class team to implement them.
For this opportunity we're looking for a dedicated individual with a strong Army acquisition background and program management skills to support a wide variety of task efforts for existing and upcoming acquisition efforts.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and draft Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, and other acquisition documents.
- Executing acquisition management across an entire product line
- Coordinating products and taskings across the acquisition process and life-cycle phases
- Preparing, configuring, and staffing all Milestone documentation
- Assist with determining contracting strategy, preparation of contracting documents, and coordinating activities with Army Contracting Command
- Participate in source selection boards and conduct technical evaluations.
- Participation in product IPTs, test events, test reviews, and product demonstrations
- Assist in providing contract oversight for assigned products.
- Maintain and manage program budget and master schedule.
- Identify cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs.
- Lead and oversee preparation of Supply Request Packages to the Defense Logistics Agency and manage transition of products from PM to DLA or Army Sustainment.
- Work with contracting personnel to achieve desired contracted outcome.
- Maintain configuration control.
- Prepare plans for product risk mitigation.
- Perform acquisition planning tasks.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on multiple products within the PEO Soldier portfolio.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Active Secret Security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 8 years of related professional experience, with additional education potentially counting towards additional years of experience.
- Strong understanding of the DoD 5000 series Acquisition Framework --Equivalent or experience commensurate with DAWIA Level II certification in acquisition career field, OR PMP certification.
- Able to develop and draft Acquisition Program baselines, Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Capabilities Documents, and other acquisition documents.
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills across the Acquisition spectrum.
- Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Diligent, focused, and dedicated to ensuring high-quality work product.
- Able to travel in support of customer objectives – up to 10%.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools.
