POSITION OVERVIEW:
Leads a team of planners and develops Work Orders for completion of Maintenance at the Department of Energy Salt Waste Processing Facility.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares Work Orders for Preventive, Corrective, and Minor Maintenance in support of the Maintenance organization.
- Employs a diverse background of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation knowledge to develop comprehensive job steps.
- Leads Job Hazard Analysis preparations and walk downs to analyze and control hazards encountered during the execution of work.
- Prepares reports to demonstrate planning efficiency.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree or equivalent experience AND 12 years related experience.
- 5 years combined work control and field experience required.
- DOE or commercial nuclear experience is highly preferred.
- Prior Lead role experience preferred.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in utilizing CMMS and scheduling programs (e.g. Primavera, Maximo, Asset Suite, etc.) required.
- Ability to apply knowledge of nuclear work control to achieve excellence in schedule preparation and adherence. Thorough knowledge of standard work control practices, including working knowledge of best practices of work management.
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on technical and non-technical subjects.
