What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Partner Personnel?
Summary: The CNC Machinist is responsible for the operation of CNC (computer numerically controlled) equipment to machine raw material or fabrications into a finished detail.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines
- Run and edit programs created by the CNC programmer
- Capable of changing tools as needed
- Load and unload machine to maintain production output
- Deburr and complete finish operations as needed
- Ensure inbound and completed stock material is organized and placed in proper storage locations
- Ensure individual tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and function
- Ensure assigned work is completed based on work requirements utilizing engineering drawings, programs and manuals as necessary
- Provide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through our ERP system
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5 years of vocational shop experience preferred
- 3 years of CNC Machinist experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints
- Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed when needed
- High regard for safety standards
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Work Environment: This position operates in a plant environment.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Frequently required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
Salary : $22 - $26
