SUMMARY:
The YouthWorks Year-Round Program Coordinator is responsible for the efficient implementation and coordinating of the YouthWorks Year-Round Early & Career Trajectory Employment Program for youth ages 16-21 years. The Coordinator will ensure that program goals are met, while providing the necessary counseling and guidance to the participants. Additionally, track data, budget, and maintain files in order. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for programmatic compliance with the rules and regulations of the funding source while ensuring the program is operating effectively and within the guidance of Partners for Community’s policy and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Outreach and recruitment of qualified youth between the ages of 16-21 years for program enrollment.
- Ensure that participants complete applications properly and have all necessary paperwork prior to submitting applications to funding source and deliver application packets to appropriate staff member.
- Develop work sites that are appropriate for the placement of youth in field of career interest.
- Conduct Signal Success workshops.
- Provide guidance and counseling to program participants.
- Ensure that all worksite and youth portfolios are complete.
- Provide training to worksite supervisors.
- Visit worksites to ensure youth are understanding their role and responsibilities.
- Ensure payroll enrollment form is complete prior to youth starting work experience.
- Submit completed time sheets to Payroll Department in a timely manner.
- Complete funding source State database for each youth upon entering and exiting of program.
- Deliver paychecks to youth.
- Keeping accurate and legible counseling notes.
- Ensure that all Massachusetts Work-based Learning Plans are completed, and all necessary signatures are obtained and entered in the State’s database.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheet of worksites, contact person, youth enrolled, and start and end dates for reporting requirements.
- Complete required programmatic reports.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by Program Manager.
REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Demonstrated experience working with youth and knowledge of the service area Prior case management experience preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation required. Computer Literate Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination. .
