POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Machine Operator
DEPARTMENT: Fabrication
POSITION REPORTS TO: Fabrication Supervisor
STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
SCHEDULE: 12 hour day shift 6am-6pm
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide direct support to the Fabrication operation(s) by producing quality product and maintaining above average production rates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Know and follow all Anagram SAFETY policies and procedures.
- Must be able to effectively setup, troubleshoot and operate a variety of balloon and/or automated packaging manufacturing equipment
- Maintain minimal scrap levels.
- May perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Operators will follow production schedules, complete paperwork, package finished goods to work order specifications and review work orders for accuracy.
- Operators may be utilized as packers, material handlers and are required to run multiple machines when needed.
- Operators are responsible for housekeeping in the fabrication department.
- Operators will work closely with department supervisors on department goals
- Operators will participate in process improvement groups.
- Operators are responsible for in-process testing procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Six (6) months experience in a high production, manufacturing environment. Experience working with automated packaging equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures required to produce a high quality product.
- Must have good problem solving abilities.
- Basic math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and tilt up to 200 pounds.
