POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Machine Operator

DEPARTMENT: Fabrication

POSITION REPORTS TO: Fabrication Supervisor

STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

SCHEDULE: 12 hour day shift 6am-6pm

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide direct support to the Fabrication operation(s) by producing quality product and maintaining above average production rates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Know and follow all Anagram SAFETY policies and procedures.
• Must be able to effectively setup, troubleshoot and operate a variety of balloon and/or automated packaging manufacturing equipment
• Maintain minimal scrap levels.
• May perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Operators will follow production schedules, complete paperwork, package finished goods to work order specifications and review work orders for accuracy.
• Operators may be utilized as packers, material handlers and are required to run multiple machines when needed.
• Operators are responsible for housekeeping in the fabrication department.
• Operators will work closely with department supervisors on department goals
• Operators will participate in process improvement groups.
• Operators are responsible for in-process testing procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in a high production, manufacturing environment. Experience working with automated packaging equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures required to produce a high quality product.
• Must have good problem solving abilities.
• Basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and tilt up to 200 pounds.
