The Operations Leader is responsible for planning, organizing and leading optimum day to day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations, increase production, increase asset utilization, and increase flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers. Primary KPI’s: Safety, service, reliability, quality, cost, and culture. Am-Source operation generates approximately 25 million in annual revenue and employs approximately 50 full time employees.

Job Overview

Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement operations strategy, initiatives, and objectives in alignment with Am-Source and PCHI’s business strategy.
- Enable the organization to deliver the results by establishing the staffing plans and capabilities development of the individuals within each function.
- Periodic daily/weekly/monthly reviews of the results on the KPI’s to ensure the objectives are being achieved.
- Follow the reporting protocol whenever incidents occur and track completion of action plans to close the gaps in performance. Make sure thorough investigations are completed.
- Understands and implements 6S, Lean Manufacturing, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Monitor, measure, and report on production related process, performance, and general issues.
- Establish staffing for the shift daily while ensuring that training skills are met for current and future shift demands.
- Work closely with the other shift Supervisors/Managers to ensure production shift changes are coordinated effectively.
- Responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of hourly associates within assigned functions.
- Ensure a culture of safety by following safety policies and procedures. Monitor’s safety, physical security, and operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis including recommendations
- Partner with Production Planning to support production planning for Am-Source to deliver on-time customer service to our Amscan/Chester DC internal customer as well as several external CP customers.
- Implement TPM/Lean methodologies on the factory floor which include AM PM capabilities and standards
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues; including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of direct reports.

- Bachelor’s Degree concentrating in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain preferred
- Strong analytical skills to support production planning responsibility – strong knowledge in MS Excel, Enterprise Resource Planning.

- Must always wear required PPE.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward for the length of shift
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with extreme temperatures and noise.
- Standing/walking for up to 90% of the day

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Travel up to 25%
