What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor (PT) position at Passaic County Community College?
We are seeking tutors that will work with fellow students to help improve their Math, Science, English and Social Science skills. Tutors are expected to work one-on-one and/or in small groups assisting college students. Tutors are trained in tutoring protocols, processes and procedures and will provide students with positive and constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Possess basic technical computer knowledge
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable, organized, and pay attention to details
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality, follow through on directions and complete assigned work in timely manner
- Must maintain a professional interactive and/or telephone manner, possess respectful verbal communication with both staff and students; and be aware of keeping a presentable business casual attire
- Must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher in specific tutoring area
- Have flexible schedule and Saturday availability
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidates.
Salary : $41,500 - $52,500
