JOB SUMMARY

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A JUNIOR FIELD TECHNICIAN

Provide on-site technical support to clients, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing technical equipment such as printers and personal computers.

Provide customer service and professional interaction with clients to understand and address their technical issues during field visits around Birmingham, managing on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing.

Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and interactions with clients producing detailed service reports and documenting processes when diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.

Follow company procedures and protocols, cooperate with technical teams and share information.

Making recommendations and explanations regarding repairs, diagnostics, and equipment specifications are part of your duties, all while building positive relationships with customers.

Collaboration with senior technicians and other team members regarding scheduling, time constraints, troubleshooting, and repair suggestions will be vital in resolving complex technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school degree preferred.
• Knowledge of printer and PC hardware, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service experience and a customer-centric approach to providing excellent technical support.
• Must work well independently with little supervision.
• Problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, dependable, and punctual, with a commitment to meeting client expectations.
• Ability to travel locally to support clients' needs.
• Must have reliable transportation to promptly arrive at the job site and pick up equipment/ supplies as needed.
• Active driver's license
• A primary residential address within city limits allows quick and easy access to area businesses. (A residence conveniently located to local metropolitan commerce is typically within 30 miles of a major airport.)
• Physical capability to sit and stand for long periods and to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
