Facilities Operations Accountant
Job Posting for Facilities Operations Accountant at PATERSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Have experience in budget application and processing
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse populations; bilingual preferred
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
Job Duties:
- Assist with budget preparation
- Ensure that correct budget accounts are charged for all transactions
- Monitor Accounts Payable ensuring that all purchase requisitions and orders, transfers and payments are accurate and complete using the Edumet Computer System
- Maintain all other accounting records as deemed necessary by the Director
- Monitor Federal and State reimbursement
- Assist with reconciling and closing out fiscal budgets
- Monitor third party service providers and support assigned unit by collecting and maintaining vendor financial information consistent with the executed contract
- Maintain all accounting for tariff services
- Be computer literate in Accounts Payable systems and PC spreadsheet software
