As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Maintenance Technician, Machine Maintenance Technician), you'll disassemble machines and replace or repair parts using various tools. You'll examine broken machine parts, identify defective components, and provide repair recommendations. You'll also reassemble machines after maintenance and repair work, assist other team members, work independently, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and exhibit an outstanding ability to learn and comprehend machine functioning fundamentals. You'll also need a good understanding of hydraulic systems and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
