SAT Tutor (In-Person within Palm Beach County, FL / Online)
Path to College is seeking a dedicated SAT Tutor to support motivated high school students from underrepresented and low-income backgrounds.

Position Overview
The SAT Tutor will commit to a consistent in-person and virtual schedule throughout the year with primary instruction taking place on both Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 5pm and 7pm. Additional hours may be available for Mock SAT proctoring and bonus tutoring sessions, as needed. In-person sessions will take place within Palm Beach County, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging SAT tutoring sessions on both Math and Verbal sections.
- Facilitate group tutoring for approximately 40 students, two times per week, for 1.5 hour sessions.
- Utilize CollegeBoard Digital SAT practice book materials and instructional resources from programs such as Khan Academy to deliver instruction.
- Monitor progress of students to provide feedback and support.
- Lead additional bonus tutoring sessions or mock SAT exams, as needed.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of SAT tutoring experience, ideally with a track record of improving student scores.
- Familiarity with the structure, content, and scoring of the SAT.
- Ability to break down complex concepts and simplify them for students of varying skill levels.
- Familiarity with SAT-specific strategies, including time management, question analysis, and test-taking techniques.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to helping students achieve academic success and gain admission to top-tier colleges.
- Familiarity with online platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, Kami).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous classroom teaching experience.
Compensation
- $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
References and SAT score report required.
