The Pathologist is responsible for providing pathology services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
Essential Functions
- Produce pathology reports in a timely fashion.
- Consult with other pathologists and serve as a consultant as needed.
- Comply with all terms and provisions of law, and ethical standards relating to the practice of medicine.
- Engage in research projects as requested.
- Investigate and study trends in the developments in pathology practice and technique.
Education & Licensure
- Medical Degree required.
- Active license to practice medicine in worked-in state required.
- Certification in anatomic or clinical pathology required; subspecialties also required depending upon scope of duties.
- Must be able to function both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks in a limited time frame.
