About the position
As our Head of Finance you will align with Pathlight’s core values as you build a superior Finance organization in our high-growth environment. You will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and as a key stakeholder in board meetings. You will be a thought-leader as you develop and grow the company’s finance organization, with specific focus on strategic planning, including: operational, headcount, and fundraising. Reporting to the CEO, you will own the company’s financial planning cycles and you’ll work closely with the rest of our team and leadership to execute on key initiatives important to the next phase of our growth and evolution as a business. You will manage external relationships with accounting and audit firms, as well as with banks. You will play a key role in financing and transactions. As a member of the executive team, you’ll be responsible for delivering presentations on key company metrics for each of the functional areas.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a financial advisor to the Pathlight CEO and executive team for strategic purposes
- Direct financing strategies, analysis, forecasting and budget management
- Automate FP&A tasks, as necessary
- Ensure compliance meets with the local, state, and federal US government requirements
- Manage accounting and finance-related technology, from accounting software to subscription management tools to credit card processor to business intelligence toolset
- Own external benchmarking and procurement processes
- Regular internal and board reporting and presentations
- Build and mentor a high-functioning Finance team
What you’ll bring:
- Several years of Strategic Finance experience in an early stage startup or the SaaS industry
- Experience with budget allocation, forecasting and business plan development
- Experience building sales productivity models, as well as headcount plans
- Experience partnering cross-functionally to facilitate planning and ongoing fiscal analysis
- Proven ability in automating processes and creating systems
- Strong working knowledge of US industry regulations and legislative guidelines
- Experience managing an investor relations program
- Superior negotiation and communication skills in both internal and external settings
