What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Specialist position at Pathways?
- Knowledge of billing processes and requirements, plus completing and maintaining billing, along with other billing related tasks including Referrals, Authorizations, Weekly and Monthly Billing, Insurance Verifications, Invoicing a select few payers, Discharging clients, and Collections.
- Proficient with personnel check-list, responsibilities and systems including Career Plug, Assisting New Hires, Personnel Action Requests, Assist with Benefits, FMLA process, and Background checks
- Skillful with office procedures and expectations including Greeting visitors, Monthly safety check list and fire drills, Ordering and organizing office supplies, Arranging meetings, including meals, space, and clean up, Building setups and maintenance, Petty cash, and Equipment upkeep
- Routine supervision of assigned Administrative Assistants, Client Account Coordinators, and/or Office Managers
- Assures the completion of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, potentially including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance: rewarding and disciplining employees: addressing complaints and resolving problems
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of two (2) years previous billing experience
- Ability to work flexible hours consistent with program needs
- Exemplary organizational, communication, mentoring, and teaming skills
- Sensitive to other cultures and socioeconomic levels
