Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients.
Duties:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility, including transferring and positioning clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
- Engage clients in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospital medicine, care, geriatrics, medical-surgical, or PICU is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience when working with individuals requiring care
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families
- Physical ability to lift and move clients safely
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
