What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mid-Level Software Developer position at Patient First Corporation?
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following: Assisting developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications; Consistently writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications according to specifications; Running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and debug general issues; Administering critical analysis of test results and delivering solutions to problem areas; Assisting in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines; Delivering installer-based desktop products to the server team for the end users installation; Writing programming scripts to enhance functionality and appearance of the company web site and related web applications as necessary; Participating in the on-call rotation as both primary and secondary roles responsible for mitigation of systemic failures; Recommending and performing software improvements and upgrades: Collaborating with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers on resolving problems with software products or company software systems; Managing and mentoring junior programmers and research assistants. Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or software engineering and three to five years equivalent work experience (preferred); Certifications in Microsoft Developer Technologies; Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including Windows platforms; Production level database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server; Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including HTML, XML, Java Script; Hands-on software troubleshooting experience; Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; Understanding of the benefits of Test Driven Development methodologies; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
