Project Controls Specialist
Project Control Specialist – Patrick Engineering, Inc., Lisle, IL.
Seeking Project Control Specialist to plan, develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules for transit construction projects including stations, yards, facilities, track, viaducts, and supporting systems.
The position is responsible for maintaining schedule integrity with a technical consistency of ID numbering, activity coding, WBS structures, closed CPM networks and no Out-of-sequence (OOS) conditions using Primavera P6 software and E-builder software. Must also participate in the proposal process, which will include drafting proposal CPM schedules from varying degrees of input information as well as drafting schedule narratives to explain schedule strategy. The responsibilities of the position further include: developing, implementing, and maintaining external and internal cost reports, cashflows and forecast to controls cost on projects; collecting historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects; performing earned value management, change management and cost management to deliver projects to clients within budget; analyzing project controls reports, presenting findings and providing recommendations to stakeholders and project teams; performing risk analysis with the project team and stakeholders; consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues; conferring with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates; and preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s in Management or related field or equivalent and five years of progressive experience in the job offered or related position. Additionally, advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 software and PMP certificate required.
