Patriot Fire is seeking a highly skilled and NICET-certified Fire Protection Inspection Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure they meet regulatory and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and Testing:
    • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, and other related systems.
    • Ensure all systems are operational and meet local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
    • Identify and document any deficiencies, malfunctions, or non-compliance issues.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on fire protection systems.
    • Coordinate with service teams for more complex repairs or upgrades.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in fire protection regulations and standards.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate effectively with clients to discuss inspection results, recommendations, and necessary actions.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Training and Development:
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
    • Mentor and assist less experienced team members as needed.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education and Certification:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Fire Protection Technology or a related field preferred.
    • NICET Level I, II, or III Certification in Fire Protection (required).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fire protection system inspection and maintenance.
    • Experience with various types of fire protection systems, including extinguishers, elights, and suppression systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Clean 7 year MVR
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
