Kennel Supervisor:
Job Summary:
Candidates in this position help manage pet care facility animals taking part in Daycare, Boarding and/or Grooming. They will build and establish relationships with clients; developing, training, mentoring, scheduling and recruiting kennel staff that matches our culture; scheduling staff accordingly; generating plans to build the business and services as well as seek to better the services we already provide.
Essential Responsibilities:
Candidates duties include: providing routine daily care for animals (checking for parasites and other skin conditions, expressing anal sacs etc.), ensure facility cleanliness, properly operate and maintain equipment, observing pets appearance for physical condition; signs of illness, disease and discomfort; cleaning and disinfecting the pet suites as often as necessary; medicating pets as needed; assist with the feeding and watering of the pets in our care; bathing guests; actively monitor pets during group activities and see to their safety and well-being; provide tender loving care and comfort to pets in our care; assist any other team member in the facility as needed; and properly document the behavior of our guests during their stay. Prepares budgets, provides technical guidance, management, and training to junior personnel. Supervises supply management and patient administration procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
Supervisory experience
Prior experience at a dog daycare facility, shelter, or in personal animal care
Familiarity with various dog breeds
Passion for taking care of animals
Necessary Skills:

§ Will have an upbeat, friendly, and professional attitude;
§ Be compassionate/caring; ability to work individually, as well as on a team
§ Self-starter personality that can complete daily tasks without the need for constant direction.
§ Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
§ Expressing anal sacs
§ Talks to dog or uses other techniques to calm animal.
§ Must have Compassion: Dogs and cats often get stressed out in unfamiliar situations, and groomers need to understand this and treat them accordingly.
§ Must prioritize customer-service.
§ Ensure Attention to Detail Daily.
§ Must have Stamina.
§ Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
§ Demonstrate superior planning, multi-tasking and organizational skills and a drive for neatness.
§ Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines in a changing environment.
