Responsibilities
Job Purpose
Pattern Energy is seeking an experienced analyst who will support the Strategic Finance and business planning activities for the Company. This individual will work with Finance, Operations, Development, and Construction to gather necessary information on the Company’s renewable energy portfolio on a programmatic basis in order to help perform financial analyses to inform business decisions. Ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of direct corporate or project finance experience in a Renewable Energy, Banking, or other Infra-Investing industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Support Strategic Finance functions
- Maintain corporate financial models and perform analyses
- Interface with inter-company departments to gather capital and operating forecasts
- Support internal / external reporting around the company Liquidity, Investments and Business Performance
- Support corporate debt compliance and corporate finance transactions
- Other special projects, ad hoc reporting, diligence support and analysis as needed
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills Required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field required
- CFA credential is highly desirable
Work Experience
- 2-3 years of project or corporate or project finance modelling experience within a financial firm or energy operating company
- Advanced spreadsheet and modeling experience with working knowledge of Renewable Investments
- Knowledge of project finance & capital markets (first lien debt, tax equity, revolvers, mezzanine capital)
- Experience with discounted cash flow valuations and underwriting standards

- Ability to prioritize, organize, effectively manage time and work independently to meet deadlines
- Must be thorough, thoughtful and able to perform well under pressure
- High degree of professionalism and tact in dealing with internal and external business partners
- Strong business strategic thinking and excellent communication skills
