The Pavilion Middle/High School is seeking a School Counselor for a probationary appointment beginning July 1, 2022. Job Description Highlights
- Collaborates on the development and management of the comprehensive school counseling program with school administrators and members of the counseling department
- Co-lead and facilitate the development of the Master Schedule
- Plans, coordinates and provides classroom counseling and support sessions in the areas of academic achievement, career and educational development, and personal and social emotional development to assist students in developing decision-making skills, coping skills, educational attainment and identifying life goals
- Intervenes during crises situations and participates on the school crisis team
- Coordinate and facilitate community circles and restorative practices to support positive student conduct and social emotional learning
- Collaborate and support the development of curriculum responsive to diversity, equity and inclusivity
- Communicate with outside agencies, therapists, physicians working with students in grades 6-9 to ensure continuity to care for students
- Participates in Response to Intervention (RtI) teams. Provide resources and support to teachers, students and administrators, implement interventions and provide timely follow up to all constituents
