Pet Bather

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate bather to join our team. As a bather, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our furry clients.

Hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 5pm and one Saturday per month. Duties include bathing/drying dogs, cleaning and disinfecting tubs, tables & cages, light cleaning and dusting, mopping, folding towels, helping check in/out customers and cross training in some receptionist duties. Animal related experience is preferred, but will train the right person.

*After 6 months of employment, bathers are eligible for groomer apprenticeship training opportunities if interested.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a love for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:
- Previous experience in animal care or grooming is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds) when assisting with larger dogs

Skills:
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to calm nervous or anxious pets
- Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough bathing procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and address their needs
