What are the responsibilities and job description for the Midday Dog Walker - Pet Sitter - Waunakee position at Paw Pals?
Paw Pals is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced dog walker and pet sitter in the Waunakee! This is a PT Position. We have a few regulars but are growing into the area. This is a flexible position that would work well in your spare time or along side another commitment.
You'll be responsible for taking care of our clients' beloved dogs, cats and sometime other pets, ensuring they get the exercise and care they need.
Here are the details:
Responsibilities:
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding walking routines, feeding, and any necessary medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring pet parents are satisfied and building positive relationships.
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of the dogs during walks, attending to their needs.
- Maintain cleanliness by promptly disposing of waste during walks.
- Report any observed concerns or issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with dogs/cats is preferred (animal shelters, veterinarian offices, kennels, etc)
- Ability to walk dogs for 30 minutes at a time
- Comfortably handle dogs of various temperaments and sizes.
- Physical capability to walk, pull, push, bend, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Smart Phone required
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Reliable transportation to travel to various locations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Proficient in following instructions and schedules with great attention to detail.
- Commitment to the role for at least 6 months.
- Availability during weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm at least
Additional Bonus (Not required):
- Pet sit for clients outside of dog walking hours. Evenings and weekends.
- Ability to overnight pet sit in client homes.
- Willing to take on Pet sitting too and maybe dog boarding.
Compensation: Pay for this role will be based on a per-job basis, subject to potential weekly variations depending on bookings.
