Job Description
Summary:
A Senior Financial Planner prepares comprehensive financial life planning, conducting client-specific research, coordinating with outside service providers, and developing recommendations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong business, economic and investments acumen
- Development of comprehensive personal and business financial plans.
- Participate and lead client meetings to aid in communication regarding financial plans.
- Contribute to the full range of financial planning areas, including cash flow management, debt management, retirement planning, estate plan review, real estate analysis, insurance evaluation, employee benefits review, tax analysis, investment management and education planning.
- Partner with clients to ensure they take action and hold them accountable.
- Provide concierge level service to a select group of clients.
- Provide education to help clients meet their goals and achieve financial health.
- Interact with the rest of our team to improve procedures and grow the firm.
- Train other planners on our approach to financial planning
- Identify banking solutions that can serve business clients

Work environment
Professional office environment
Travel required
- Infrequent domestic travel for training
- Periodic local travel by personal vehicle
Required education and experience
- CFP® designation
- Bachelors degree required; Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics preferred
- At least 5 years experience
- 4-year college degree from an accredited university
- Healthy compliance record in prior position(s)
- Ability to create and foster strong partnerships with employees and business partners
- FINRA Series 66 (or 65 & 63) or Certified Financial Planner designation
Preferred education and experience
- Residence within the Greater San Antonio Area
- Established network of centers of influence
Additional eligibility requirements
- Ability to interact and operate technologies common in the Financial Services industry (CRM, calendars, planning software)
- Willingness to continuously enhance and reinforce the PAX culture
- Personal belief in the capitalistic model responsible for the current US economic market
