What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motion Graphics Animator position at Pax8?
Position Summary:
The Motion Graphics Animator designs and animates motion graphics for digital media platforms. They develop concepts and generate, often multiple times, iterations of a “look”. The Animator is responsible for designing and animating logos, style frames, and creating 2D and/or 3D content. They work directly with the Graphics Department Art Director and/or Lead Producer of Multimedia. The Animator is crucial for the future development of envelope-pushing, best-in-class creative elements on behalf of the Pax8 brand.
Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to):
- Collaborate with the Lead Producer of Multimedia and Art Director to concept visual solutions to unique brand challenges, graphics packages, and templates
- Design on-brand creative assets from concept to execution optimized for multiple digital and social platforms using both 2D and 3D post-production tools
- Contribute to future brand updates and innovations
- Create clear, concise toolkits in AE and Premiere that can be handed off to our editors and vendors
- Produce engaging assets that demonstrate a high-level understanding of design, typography, and animation
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five (5) years of related experience
- Proficient knowledge of Cinema 4D, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Proficiency in creating GUI-style animated graphics preferred
- Knowledge of the tech space to identify opportunities to create new and fresh content by utilizing new trends and tools
- Capable of working within the guidelines of an existing graphics package to maintain consistency and quality
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D design
- Must be flexible, deadline-driven, a great collaborator and must be able to confidently deliver graphics with complete accuracy
- Must adhere to existing workflow and file structure
- Possess a strong sense of creativity and imagination
Required Education & Certifications:
- A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $97,000 or more depending on experience
