This position has lead responsibilities for all Paychex PEO Benefits technical administration, reporting, data integrity, testing & training. Key duties include ensuring all data files are tested and transmitted successfully, enrollment platform is configured correctly, and overall database administration is accurate. Acts as lead to support PEO Benefits SMEs with day- to-day system administration / operations. Under limited direction, manages projects and activities requiring innovative thinking in various areas of PEO Benefits to implement significant changes or enhancements that meet the business needs. Serves as project and integrity reviewer for other PEO Benefits projects and data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supports planning, assists in organizing and monitors work done by others in support of PEO Benefits projects to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on target, within budget and in-line with quality standards. Evaluates the effectiveness of project implementation and the satisfaction of stakeholders in terms of meeting the goals and expectations of the project.
- Provides technical support to PEO Benefits Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for all benefit programs.
- Participates as needed with analysis of system issues or process breakdowns and supports the Benefit SMEs to correct, including preventative controls to mitigate future issues. Ensures data integrity by monitoring various applications for performance. Communicates findings and recommended action plan to management.
- Provides support to PEO Benefits SMEs to become self-sufficient in front line trouble shooting, running reports and uploading files (that are most basic). Partners with SMEs and benefit program vendors to resolve technical issues. .
- Key contributor to the Paychex Annual Enrollment project by facilitating weekly meetings and project tasks. Acts as the technical lead for department system enhancements during OE and through year end.
- Proactively builds positive relationships with multiple internal and external business partners.
- Assists with the maintenance, enhancements, and new implementations to ensure needs are met with minimal impact on processes. Participates in the identification and definition of requirements of business needs for complex technology solutions to support business initiatives. Creates and maintains appropriate documentation to ensure processes are consistently followed.
- Shares responsibility for PEO Benefits external data warehouse vendor relationship by providing education, training support, reporting and data analysis.
- Focuses on continuous process improvement in PEO Employee Benefits Products and Programs on a daily basis.
- Stays current and informed on industry best practices including new and innovative benefits strategies, systems and technology. Monitors PEO Benefits operations and business processes to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- 3 years of experience in Benefits Enrollment Administration.
- 3 years of experience in Project Management.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $51,500 - $74,009.71 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
