To provide examples of fair play, team building, and respect. Provide leadership and motivation to excel.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAttend all tryouts, practice meetings, and in-school events, and supervise students during related field trips and other out-of-school functionsOrganize practice schedules and performance rostersDevelop strategies, choreography, and styles of danceAttend out-of-school meetings, supervise fundraisers, assist students preparation for competitionsCoach individual participants of varying abilities in the skills necessary for achievement in DanceTrack student performance throughout the season and develop stat sheets on performersArrange with the athletics/activities director for any necessary transportationEnsure the safety of the students and maintain responsibility for the security of equipment and facilities and ensure that safety equipment is used correctlyMaintain responsibility for uniforms and props and keep a detailed list of inventoryCooperate with the high school bookkeeper regarding proper fundraising, ordering supplies, and maintain proper account management following bookkeeping guidelines.Comply with federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy about medical procedures and student-athletes, including the districts concussion policyEnsure that students are eligible to participate, have sufficient grades, and that they have had any necessary physical examinationsActively promote the dance program, seek student participation, and select team membersModel positive behavior, maintain a supportive environment, and remain professional, even when tension is highMaintain high standards of conduct for student performers, including respect and fair playAdhere to Payette High School policy for student performers and related activitiesCandidates may submit an application, cover letter, resume, and (3) current letters of recommendationTERMS OF EMPLOYMENTThis position shall be considered in all respects employment at will.
