Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role- Provide independent validation of high impact regulatory models (e.g. Complaints models), with substantial use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and Generative AI. Meet our team You will be joining AI/Model Risk Management Team within Enterprise Financial Risk Oversight unit, focusing on, but not limited to, independent quantitative model validation of high impact AI/models used firmwide. You will play a critical role in ensuring best in class model development, safe adoption and responsible uses, following regulatory guidance/requirements and best industry practices. Your work will help ensure compliance with requirements from various regulatory agencies and external audits and better customer services. Your day to day In your day to day role you will Support the lead in providing oversight of high-impact statistical models and AI applications in various business functional areas, focusing on but not limited to Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and Generative AI. Conduct quantitative and qualitative model validation in line with internal Model Risk Management Policy and industry standard to identify and report issues arising from model data, model design and model use, provide subject-matter expert opinion on model enhancement Collaborate with business units and model developers to ensure model issues are agreed and remediated timely What do you need to bring- This position requires the curiosity and ability to learn various advanced modeling techniques, covering a broader business function. This role also requires candidate to have the capability in building effective relationship with stakeholders from various teams such as data science, engineering, product, customer service/complaints, compliance, audit. An advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, econometrics, finance, mathematics, computer science, data science, engineering 1-3 years of experience preferred Advanced statistical and deep learning model development experience with solid understanding of NLP modeling and optimization techniques including text, voice and image processing. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in NLP, such as Python, and libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, or other deep learning toolkits. Ability to research on latest AI/ML advancements and explore opportunities for innovation Ability to maintain technical documentation of AI/ML model development and validation Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment and deliver timely Ability to communicate and present effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels Experience working with Large Language Models, such as GPT-4, Llama 2 and other commercial or open-source models is a plus Location Options: Austin, Chicago, Scottsdale, Omaha *Austin location preferred **We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
