The Financial Analyst will provide support to the Finance Department, concentrating on grants and content management while also supporting weekly producer payments, monthly reporting, and analysis.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with other members of the Finance Team, PBS Foundation, and business units to support the development grant proposal budgets and grant reports
Monitor and track monthly expenses and project status for grants to ensure that spend guidelines are being met
Update content database as needed to manage programming agreements with funding information
Review programming agreements for revenue terms
Process weekly programming payments in content database
Enhance and maintain monthly reports and queries using multiple reporting tools
Support monthly and quarterly variance analysis of business performance versus annual budget, grant budget, forecast, and prior year
Develop and maintain good working relations with key stakeholders
Evaluate financial and operational results to ensure alignment with management's overall corporate budget and key priorities
Assist with the monthly grant variance analysis to ensure alignment with grant objectives
Prepare ad hoc business analysis and recommendations as assigned
Requirements for success:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related business degree preferred
2-3 years finance experience required
Strong analytic and reporting skills
Demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and can work successfully and effectively with others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience using ERP, Planning and Reporting tools a plus
Strong work ethic with a high level of accuracy
