Location Profile:

PCC Rollmet is a leading manufacturer of cold worked and annealed pipe for the petrochemical, energy and defense industries. We provide precision thin wall seamless cylindrical shapes, pipes and tubes across a wide range of materials, including nickel alloy, stainless steel, aluminum, and ferritic alloy. PCC Rollmet has pioneered our unique Cold Roll Extrusion process to manufacture precision thin wall tubes under 0.75” thicknesses. Strengths of our cold roll extruded, solid-solution alloy pipes are greater than those of conventionally manufactured pipe and tube, due to the fine-grain size achieved through cold working and recrystallization.

Position Summary:

The Driver – Level 1 is expected to follow and execute predetermined routes to move material between facility buildings and local suppliers and customers. While a class A llicense is not required for Level 1 drivers, a clean driving record is required of all drivers. Level 1 drivers will demonstrate an ability to perform a daily vehicle inspection, read shippers, and verify that the load is properly secured and alignes with the records in hand. They must also be able to operate a forklift and have the ability to safely load and unload material onto their truck as well as perform a thorough visual inspection verifying that there is no identifiable part defects or damage. Typically 2-4 years of experience.

Reporting Relationships:

The Driver – Level 1 will report to the Warehouse Supervisor

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Maintain a clean driving record

· Perform daily vehicle inspections

· Read shippers and verify load for accuracy

· Operate a forklift

· Safely load and unload material onto truck

· Perform visual inspection to verify no defects or damage

· Observe all safety policies and procedures

· Assist with packaging as appropriate

· Other duties as assigned, including receiving goods in the system when not driving.

· Proper use of PPE as required during loading and unloading.

· Will be required to read and understand Shipping & Receiving 25 Safe Operating Procedures

· Will be used to package parts for outside processing and/or shipments when not making deliveries or shipments

· Must be able to verify the accuracy and completeness of inbound and outbound shipments (part number, number of pieces, safe packaging) using shipping documents.

· Must be able to verify the accuracy of parts leaving facility for outside processing referenced on purchase orders.

· Safe use of cell phone while driving (no texting and safely answering phone calls).

Required Skills:

· Ability to be forklift certified

· Licensed driver with a clean driving record

· Ability to read and comprehend shipping documents

· Ability to verify part quantity and perform visual inspection for defects or damage

· Ability to learn additional skills related to shipping and receiving

· Punctuality

· Current and valid California driver’s license (Class C)

· Minimum of two (2) years licensed driving experience

· At least 21 years of age or older

· Less than 2 personal violations within the past 5 years, e.g.. speeding, violation of right of way, etc.

· No preventable accident(s) within the last 5 years

· No felony convictions involving a motor vehicle within the last 5 years

· No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years

· No serious violations of motor vehicle safety or judgment within the past 5 years

· Good communication skills while engaging with Rollmet personnel and its suppliers.

Experience & Education

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· 1-2 years of experience
