What We're Looking For
The Staff Accountant I is responsible for reviewing invoices/vouchers and payment of those invoices/vouchers along with supporting the Controller in accounting functions inclusive of routine reconciliations and journal entries.
What You Will Do
• Assist in monthly closings, including monthly journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist Controller in creating timely and accurate financial statements for PCCA and PCCA’s sister entities
• Reconcile company bank accounts daily for accuracy and assist completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with ACH and wire entries on the bank website
• Check, approve and input, when necessary, AP invoices/vouchers for payment
• Audit invoices/vouchers for accuracy, timeliness and completeness
• Enter ACH’s and wires into the online banking website
• Prepare year-end 1099’s
• Assist with payroll as needed
• Audit payroll quarterly reports
• Prepare sales tax Filings
• Maintain exchange rate in QAD
• Administer the company expense reporting website
• Assist with related special projects, as required
Who You Are
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with two years related experience with an emphasis in General Ledger
• Advanced accounting skills managing and/or calculating discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Intermediate to Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Accounting software
