JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for product photography for PCNA including styling, shooting, editing, scheduling and coordinating. Their primary responsibility is to produce photos used in e-commerce on the PCNA website to showcase product features and be used for virtual creation, with secondary image use for marketing materials, promotions, and sales tools. The goal is to elevate the photography including product, lifestyle, and on-model shoots to support product launches and in-line products. This position will also assist in determining what will be photographed in-house, executed by an approved agency, or completed using freelance resources to optimize budget. In addition, this position will play a critical role in the strategy and execution of updating our on-site photography studio with the appropriate equipment, lighting, and props necessary to produce at scale. This role will provide leadership across the photography team, managing work and quality to drive towards a modern marketing organization. This position will be required to work out of the photography studio in New Kensington, PA.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES:
  • Support the creative department in producing high-quality product shots for digital and print media
  • Collaborate with in-house creative teams on photographic direction that maintains brand continuity in product imagery
  • Compose, stylize, and stage product shots, based on direction provided, using the highest of standards in setting up lighting, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot, while managing a high volume of images
  • Utilize professional camera and lighting equipment in a well-equipped studio, also working with an Orbitvu product photography system (training provided) and some occasional on location shooting
  • Demonstrate lighting skills with the intent to capture the functionality, features, benefits and uniqueness of individual products
  • Utilize computer imaging software to process photographs
  • Consistently produce digital images that are within established brand standards, which can quickly be edited and made web-ready
  • Accurately perform color corrections and all post production editing on photos
  • Import, organize, catalog, and provided final images into a shared environment
  • Collaborate with other photographers
  • Work at an efficient and effective pace
  • Follow standard guidelines setup on how to display the product images as well as use creative measure when needed
  • Maintain photo equipment and cleanliness of studio

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • High level of experience with product photography, off-figure 360’s, and creative lighting techniques
  • Proficient in graphics software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge)
  • High-level photo retouching abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work side-by-side with Photography Producer and Designers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced studio environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience photographing products and models
  • Knowledge of product and apparel photo styling
  • Excellent knowledge of Mac
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with Cloudinary and Monday.com a plus
  • Experience with Canon camera systems and lenses
  • Experience with Capture One photography software a plus
  • Experience with OrbitVu photography systems a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • 2 – 4 year degree in digital photography preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years minimum experience as a photographer (5 years preferred)
  • Portfolio must be included to be considered for this position with a focus on product photography
