The Position:
In this position, you would be creating proofs for client review and preparing the artwork for final production. You will be required to communicate with customers and other departments to ensure orders are processed correctly and efficiently to meet strict production timelines.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES
- Analyze artwork for highest print quality and usability
- Place customer artwork on product templates using Adobe Creative Suite to create customer proofs for review and layouts for production
- Follow-up with customers via phone/email on active orders regarding proof approvals and design changes to ensure orders are on schedule and correct
- Create production ready files to be used in the creation and production of journals and other products once approved
- Review final details in print and digital form to ensure artwork and templates meet production requirements, customer specifications, and are consistent with our established print standards
- Collaborate with internal staff when needed to ensure the best design, development and production of our products
- Work closely with the Production Team to troubleshoot imprint techniques/setups when challenges arise
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to convert graphic designs to print ready products
- Intermediate computer skills with a strong understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong judgment; quick, comprehensive decision-making; and problem-solving skills a must
- Meticulous attention to detail; process oriented
- Excellent Organizational Skills – able to balance multiple day-to-day tasks and priorities to meet deadlines in fast-paced and demanding environment
- Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm, controlled, professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency while adhering to stringent deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- High School Equivalent or GED
