SUMMARY

The Line Locator processes and locates PDC buried line ticket requests, interacts with contractors and landowners requesting locates, ensures that line crossings are done in a safe manner and that lines are not damaged while being crossed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.
Retrieve locate request from UNCC Web TMS;
Process tickets and locate PDC buried lines;
Interact and work with contractors and land owners;
Willingness to assist less experienced teammates;
Ensure that all PDC line crossings are done in a safe manner and that lines are not damaged;
Must be able to transport equipment weighing up to fifty five (55) pounds into and out of a vehicle;
Must be able to traverse uneven terrain to perform line locating tasks;
Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The specific minimum competencies required for job performance.
Knowledge of machines and equipment commonly used in the oil & gas industry;
Possess physical strength needed to perform duties;
Possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
Must be a self-starter;
Fully understand underground buried production facility systems and have the ability to recognize when what locating equipment is showing does not make sense;
Possess the ability to retrieve information from UNCC Web TMS computer system.

The scope of the person’s authority, including a list of jobs that report to the incumbent.
There are no initial supervisory aspects associated with this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment.
Work is 95% outside environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.
Developing incumbent with limited job-related experience and developing position specific skills;
High school diploma or GED equivalent;
Minimum of 1 years of experience in oil & gas industry;
Additional 1 years of experience in construction related or utility locating field;
Valid CO driver’s license with drivers record acceptable by PDC insurance carriers;
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation;
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical ability test.
