This position serves as the primary liaison between Operations and Finance & Accounting and will specialize in the analysis of basin performance and produce operational reports and presentations; ensure that reporting templates and reporting conventions are consistent with other basins and are responsible for the accuracy, validation, and control of numbers, data, and operational inputs. In addition, responsible for providing analysis and information to the Asset Director and Managers, ensuring awareness of any issues or important analysis to be reported.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done.
Provide budget and forecast inputs as requested;
Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and E&P Accounting to provide and assist with budget/ forecast to actual analytics;
Serve as the central point of contact and key source of information for reporting and analytics;
Work with any necessary Asset Team personnel to prepare analysis;
Serve as the key source of information for MORs and QORs supporting E&P Accounting;
Support the E&P Accounting, FP&A, and Internal Reporting teams by providing analysis;
Create the monthly variance reports that include capital vs budget, capital vs forecast, LOE vs budget, and LOE vs forecast;
Provide Asset Team with analytics and information to aid in management of the Asset;
Work with E&P Accounting to provide inputs into D&C and LOE accruals;
Facilitate and work with E&P Accounting on the monthly LOE accrual, including calculating WellView cost estimates and ensure data is accurate and timely;
Perform the reserve estimates review – provides capital and LOE analysis used in creation of reserve report;
Review analytics, reports and other information with the Asset Directors and Managers ensuring they have access to and are aware of any important issues or analysis;
Conduct AFE to actual tracking;
Lead basin representative on monthly and quarterly reports, providing input data and reviewing for accuracy and presenting to necessary departments (Counts, D&C statistics, etc.) ;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job.
An accomplished incumbent will possess a minimum of 5 years job related experience, established position specific skills, and working knowledge of other inter-departmental functions;
2 years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas preferred;
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field preferred;
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and
Strong knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry system and tools (PowerBI, SQL, Python, Peloton Suite preferred);
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and tools (SAP preferred);
Demonstrated experience in analytics and/or variance research skills preferred.
